NEW YORK, Feb. 26, Kyodo

Artist Yoko Ono was rushed to hospital Friday after suffering what was initially reported to be a possible stroke, CBS News reported.

Ono, 83, widow of former Beatle John Lennon, was transported to a New York hospital from her home near the Central Park around 9 p.m. Friday, the U.S. news outlet said.

According to the report, Ono was unconscious when she was taken to hospital, but her publicist was later quoted as saying the artist was suffering from a bout of the flu and would likely be released on Saturday.
